I have always, as long as I can remember, loved the holidays! Now that I have the house of my dreams in Santa Cruz I have this big beautiful canvas to decorate however I want. It got even more exciting when I started hiring caregivers and most of them also love holidays and are very creative. I had some decorations that I accumulated when I bought my mobile home but when I moved here I just went crazy! Every time a holiday was over I would go shopping and buy a lot of stuff that was anywhere from 40% to 70% off, I loved all of the declarations and I was getting them for a bargain. Of course, the place I had in San Jose was a huge three-bedroom with the dining room and living room as well as a huge kitchen, this place is much smaller so for the first couple of years I had way too many decorations up and it looked more like a holiday store and a house decorated for holidays. Eventually, I even started enjoying having holiday parties, especially now that I am closer to my family and I have a lot more friends living here. I remember one of my psychologists when I lived in San Jose asked me "what is it you want in your life" And I said that one day I hope to have a big beautiful house but have everybody that comes here feel completely at home and comfortable… I feel like I have that now.
